The Latest Trends in Bedroom Décor

If you ask a person which is their favorite room in the house the answer would definitely be Bedroom. After a hectic day’s work a person would like to sit back and relax in their bedroom. It is said that a normal human being spends one third of their life in bedroom. Hence it is important that this room should be warm, cozy and comfortable so that the person using the room should feel like spending time there. The bedroom décor has undergone vast changes in the past few years with respect to color, design etc.

When it comes to color, even though neutral is still the preferred one, bold colors are also being used to a large extent. Colors like shades of blue, purple and green are very popular. In some cases, the entire room including the ceiling is painted in bold colors. The use of such bold colors is accentuated by neutral colored furniture and accessories. White furniture set with white beds, white cabinet, dressing table etc is getting more popularity.

The next thing to be considered is accessorizing the room. Going green is the latest trend. Eco-friendly textiles, bedding, curtains etc are widely used. Curtains can be plain, floral or sheer curtain. Using recycled products like shabby chic furniture is also a trend. Hand embroidered pillows; hand woven rugs etc can provide a personal touch to the décor. Large mirrors and mirrored tiles let in more light into the room and make it look spacious.  If interested, one can add wall art to complete the décor. Wall art inspired by nature, plants, flowers etc provides a refreshing look to the room.

When it comes to bedroom décor there is no hard and fast rule. Since bedroom is a private space, it is completely left to the people using the room as to how to decorate it. After all it is that special room which is close to our heart.
