How We Redid Our Bathroom On A Budget

We wanted the bathrooms in our home to look great. My husband knew updating them would be a great idea for resale. For me, I just wanted fresh modernized bathrooms. I didn't like the idea of people visiting our outdated bathrooms. They always felt dirty to me no matter how much I cleaned them. So I was thrilled when my husband said we have our bathrooms remodeled. But of course we were on a budget.

We knew the main features that needed changed in order to make the bathroom bright and fresh. We couldn't redo it all so we had to pick and choose. After a lot of research and assessing our bathrooms we knew a few things. First of all, they both needed new toilets. This was an easy fix as toilets are not that expensive and many of the new toilets are more efficient and save water which saves money.

But we also we needed new counters and cabinets. At first I was so discouraged. New counters were expensive and cabinets were out of our budget. But then I found several discount bathroom vanities. I was so happy. And at the same time I found discount cabinets. They weren't a fortune and yep they fit into our budget.

I found a site online that offered the same variety and beauty as our local stores. Only I honestly had even more choices. We even found a marble top for our master bath. They arrived quickly and the quality was incredible.

I can't tell you how please with our low budget bathroom. We also added new lights and new faucets. We were able to easily install of this on our own. It was so much fun seeing it all come together

So here is what I learned. You can redo your bathroom on a budget. You just need to choose a few things that will make your bathroom shine. I would say that our discount vanities helped our budget immensely. They were so much fun to choose and look fabulous. Have fun shopping around and don't tempt yourself with the most expensive stuff. It isn't necessarily better. Stick to your budget and see what you can do.

I know the resale of our home has increased and the visitor factor has increased as I am no longer shy to have people view or use our bathrooms. I am one happy woman.
